Published
Published 11 February 2026

Overview

Level 2 Award in Advanced Driving and Riding Skills. Face-to-face Advanced Driver Initial and refresher training is part of the mandatory learning routeway for Surveillance Operatives (SO's) The purpose of this driver training is to ensure the students maintain the standard required to drive safely and progressively whilst on surveillance duties. It will also ensure that they remain up to date with developments on the Roadcraft system of car control. Surveillance duties require an Operative to be aware of their surrounding environment and be able to react quickly to any hazards, it is therefore essential that all Operative's conduct these duties safely. This has also been identified as a control measure by our H&S Business partner as part of the review of the Surveillance Risk Assessment. This is for a 4 day Level 2 Advanced Driver training.
