Overview
Belfast City Council awarded a contract to Ligoniel Improvement Association on 22 June 2026 to develop and deliver an animation programme complementing capital works that will connect communities in North and West Belfast to the Belfast Hills through new and improved pathways. The programme will engage 1,200 participants in guided walks, heritage talks, and cross-community events across Divis and Black Mountain, Ligoniel Dams and Park, and Cave Hill Country Park, deepening understanding of the cultural and environmental value of the Hills.
