North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a principal contractor to undertake a full electrical rewire at Marlow Court, a 33-flat sheltered housing scheme in Corby constructed in the 1960s and 1970s. The works address fire risks from deteriorating wiring, inadequate sub-main capacity, and meter room health and safety issues, and will include relocation of the mains supply and meter room to ground floor, installation of smart meters, new socket outlets, and commissioning of new electric meters, all to be completed while the building remains occupied. The contractor must have specialist experience in complex occupied environments and coordination with Distribution Network Operators, with an estimated project value of £350,000.
