UK5 - Lancaster Wheels Production (P3)

Defence Equipment and Support has awarded a contract to Retrotec Limited for the production and in-service support of Lancaster Mainwheel Hub Assemblies for the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight aircraft, valued at £884,316 over a two-year period from February 2026 to February 2028. Retrotec Limited was selected as the sole provider due to being the only approved Design Organisation for this critical airworthiness component. The award was made under direct award provisions of the Procurement Act 2023, citing absence of competition for technical reasons.
