Provision of Social Prescribers

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust has awarded a contract worth £410,000 to Wirral Citizens Advice Bureau for the provision of social prescribing services. The service includes free, impartial advice and social prescribing to improve mental health, finances, housing stability, and reduce social isolation, with specialized support for vulnerable groups including those affected by addiction, crime, end-of-life care, and people with language, literacy, or digital barriers. The contract, signed on 4 December 2025, builds on Citizens Advice Wirral's 25 years of experience delivering integrated health and advice services in partnership with GP surgeries and community health providers across the borough.
