Lift GSM & Roaming Sims

Published
Published 16 December 2025

Overview

The 3G network is being turned off, and the current digicoms which are used in the lifts to communicate to passengers that are trapped will be redundant. We need to replace the existing digicoms with autodials compatible with new digicoms, so a 4G solution can be achieved as soon as possible before 3G network is switched off. For the autodial's to work we need to be supplying roaming SIMs for safety. Regulations BS EN 81-28 require lifts to have emergency communication systems. Two-way communication with building security or emergency services.
