Youth Justice Worker Level 4 Qualification

The Ministry of Justice has awarded a contract to Trauma Informed Schools & Communities UK CIC for £949,000 to deliver a Level 4 Youth Justice Worker Qualification, an accredited vocational training programme in trauma-informed practice for up to 500 frontline officers in youth custodial settings. The six-year-and-four-month contract includes a four-month implementation period, five years of enrolments, and a one-year teach-out period, with courses delivered face-to-face across three Youth Offender Institution sites in England (Yorkshire, Midlands, and London) on a rotating basis. Each course will be no longer than 12 months and will equip youth justice staff with theory and effective practice skills aligned to the YJ Skills Matrix.
