Overview

The Home Office has awarded a £40 million contract to Barnardo's to deliver the Independent Child Trafficking Guardianship (ICTG) Service, which provides independent advocacy and support to child victims of modern slavery across all Local Authorities in England and Wales. The service, which has operated since 2017 in select areas, will expand to offer one-to-one direct support and indirect support to potentially trafficked children regardless of nationality or immigration status, helping protect them from further harm and supporting their recovery throughout the National Referral Mechanism process.
