SU09(26) Contract Award for Data Collection for Survey-based Study of the 2026 Senedd Election

Swansea University has awarded a contract to Ipsos (market research) Limited for £278,000 to conduct data collection for the 2026 Welsh Election Study, a survey-based research project examining voters' attitudes, behaviours, and socio-demographic attributes. The scope requires three representative sample survey waves (pre-campaign, in-campaign, and post-campaign) using push-to-web methodology, with a minimum of 2,000 respondents per wave, targeting a 20% response rate and delivering anonymized respondent location data. The contract runs from November 2025 to November 2026 and is funded by UK Research and Innovation's Economic and Social Research Council.
