Overview

Defence Equipment and Support has awarded a contract worth £920,000 to BAE Systems (Operations) Limited for post-design services and repairs to the Mobile Test Facility (MTF), a Mercedes Sprinter vehicle equipped with bespoke Interoperability Test Tools that provide tactical data link testing and assurance capability for maritime platforms. The MTF tests current in-service systems including Link 11, Link 16, and JREAPC, supporting functional testing, defect diagnosis, rectification, and pre-deployment workups to standardise maritime platforms under the Maritime Multi Link Programme. BAE Systems, as the sole supplier with exclusive rights to the agile software and requisite technical documentation, will continue managing the capability and providing support to enhance NATO exercise participation and allied nation trials.
