WMCA Micromobility Scheme - Tender Notice

The West Midlands Combined Authority awarded a contract to Lime Technology Limited on 19 December 2025 to deliver a regional micromobility scheme combining e-bikes and e-scooters across the West Midlands on a concession basis. The service, valued at £30 million, will replace two existing schemes ending in early 2026 and aims to encourage modal shift from private cars, provide inclusive access to shared mobility assets, and integrate with public transport interchanges across Birmingham, Coventry, Sandwell, Walsall, and Wolverhampton. The operator must hold full CoMoUK Public Bike Share Accreditation and have UK experience in operating micromobility services.
