Overview

Southampton City Council awarded an £8 million contract to Southampton Voluntary Services on 22 December 2025 to deliver the Southampton Early Advice & Support (SEAS) service, a community-focused, integrated early intervention and preventative health and care service. The service brings together voluntary sector, adult social care, children's social care, NHS and partner organisations to provide support for unpaid carers, SEND, advice and information for children and young people, and navigation of adult social care, welfare, benefits, immigration, employment and fuel poverty. The 10-year alliance-based contract is now in delivery, with scope expected to expand over time as SEAS becomes the primary consideration for commissioning new community-based preventative services in Southampton.
