Overview

Westmorland and Furness Council has awarded a framework for alternative provision services across three lots: registered Ofsted providers, unregistered providers, and providers offering education for pupils with medical conditions, with a total contract value of £2.3 million awarded to 16 providers on 19 April 2026. The framework aims to ensure all alternative provision is of good quality, suitable to each child's needs and abilities, and focused on their reintegration to mainstream education or progression to a sustained post-16 destination.
