- Published
- Published 3 June 2025
Overview
Younger Adults Supported Accommodation will have care and support attached to particular property. This could be from a few hours a week to 24/7 support with a team of support staff.
The Council is committed to supporting individuals with a learning disability to live ordinary lives in good quality Supported Accommodation. They require specialist support for Younger Adults living in council-owned accommodation. These individuals are in the following client groups:
People with a Learning Disability
People with a Physical Disability/Sensory Impairment
People with an enduring Mental Health condition
People with Autism or Asperger's Syndrome
The County Council has committed significant resources to this Service and will work closely with the Provider to ensure successful, effective and sustainable Service Delivery for the future.
There will be a focus on the use of Assistive Technology and highly trained staff in order to ensure the highest quality and most effective service delivery in a challenging recruitment environment.
The County Council will be working towards an Outcomes Based Commissioning Model for this service within the initial period of the contract.
The Council cannot provide these specialist care services themselves, and thus require external providers to operate within the Council-owned properties.
The properties where the services are required are based across Hampshire. The service will therefore be county-wide. However, the service will be lotted geographically.
This contract will cover Younger Adults Supported Accommodation Services commissioned by Hampshire County Council.
In 2025, 6 Younger Adults Extra Care/Supported Accommodation contracts are coming to an end. Commissioning wish to retender for these services but under one project reference, lotted by location, to ensure continuity and align the Younger Adults Extra Care and Supported Accommodation contracts.
The contract has been divided into 5 Geographical Lots:
Lot 1 - YAEC Basingstoke
Lot 2 - YAEC Winchester
Lot 3 - YAEC Aldershot
Lot 4 - Fareham 4
