Overview

The BBC has awarded a contract to HCL Technologies UK Limited for a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection service, valued at £2.3 million, commencing in December 2025. The service provides malicious traffic scrubbing to protect the BBC's Internet Network and critical services including www.bbc.co.uk and BBC iPlayer from volumetric and protocol-based attacks.
