London Gateway Berth 5 Container Yard Construction

London Gateway Port Limited has awarded GOBION CONSTRUCTION LTD a contract worth £52.27 million on 18 March 2026 for the construction of a container storage yard at Berth 5 of London Gateway Port. The works comprise civil, structural, and electrical elements including heavy-duty pavements, automated stacking crane (ASC) modules and foundations, reefer infrastructure, drainage systems, utilities installation, and associated buildings and lighting systems, with some elements employer-designed and others design-and-construct by the contractor. The project is currently in delivery or complete.
