PROVISION OF CADAVERIC FACILITIES AND RESOURCES IN SUPPORT OF THE DEFENCE MEDICAL ACADEMY

The Ministry of Defence has awarded a contract to the University of Bristol worth £2,678,300 for provision of cadaveric facilities and resources to support the Defence Medical Academy, specifically delivering three Military Operational Surgical Team Training courses annually with the capability to provide up to two additional courses. The supplier provides prepared human cadavers, surgical equipment replicating military damage control and neurosurgical sets, Wi-Fi infrastructure for virtual instruction, storage and logistics support, and participant facilities, while adhering to the Human Tissue Act 2004 and Defence cyber security standards.
