Overview

Leeds City Council has awarded a contract to HEMIKO LIMITED for £3.405 billion to develop and deliver the Leeds City Centre Heat Network, a large-scale low-carbon district heat network serving the Leeds Advanced Zoning Programme area. Under a Development Agreement, the partner will undertake design and development activities, and if the project meets mandatory requirements, progress to a Joint Venture Partnership to fund, deliver and operate the network, with Leeds City Council retaining a golden share and potential integration of its existing Leeds PIPES network.
