Kent County Council has awarded a four-year open framework (CN260427) to 33 independent and non-maintained special school providers to deliver placements for children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans whose needs cannot be met in mainstream settings. The framework, valued at £1.752 billion following award on 10 June 2026, replaces the existing Dynamic Purchasing System and is structured into two lots: Strategic Partners for higher-quality providers capable of block contracting, and Approved Providers meeting standard quality thresholds, with all providers required to be Ofsted or ISI registered.
