The Met Office has awarded a framework contract worth £45.6 million to 42 suppliers including consultancies, technology firms, universities and research institutions. The FASTER framework enables the Met Office to secure skills and capacity from industrial and academic partners to apply weather and climate science alongside technology solutions to address customer challenges and develop prototype solutions.
