Overview

Birmingham City Council has established an open framework for the provision of temporary accommodation solutions through the private rented sector and private registered providers of social housing, to run for 3 years with optional 2-year extensions. Sixteen providers have been awarded to the framework as of December 2025, with no limit on the total number of providers who may join during the framework period. The framework operates under the light touch regime with a single stage procurement procedure and fixed assessment periods for new applications.
