Coventry University - PSDS-Energy Network

Coventry University awarded a contract worth £30.3 million to Coventry District Energy Company Limited (Bring Energy/CDEC) to connect five groups of university buildings to an existing low-carbon district energy network and install energy efficiency improvements, funded through the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme round 3c. The project encompasses comprehensive design, supply, and installation of connections for space heating and domestic hot water, with phased installation scheduled from February 2025 to February 2026. CDEC was selected as the sole contractor due to their 25-year concession to operate the existing Coventry District Energy Network, ensuring efficient integration and timely delivery within the funding compliance timeline.
