TfL Solar Private Wire Delivery Partner

London Underground Limited has awarded a four-year framework agreement (with optional four-year extension) to SSE Utility Solutions Limited for £175 million to act as the Delivery Partner for the TfL Solar Private Wire project. The Delivery Partner will identify suitable sites, develop solar photovoltaic generation projects, obtain necessary approvals, and design, construct, operate and maintain solar farms and private wire connections to supply zero-carbon electricity to the London Underground network and broader TfL estate, with individual Power Purchase Agreements to be called off over approximately 25-year terms.
