Award of a call off contract under the Prison Education Dynamic Purchasing System for Reading and Number Support for Prisoners at HMP Aylesbury. The services will seek to engage lower-level, harder to reach learners, and demonstrate progression for people at the earlier stages of their educational journey. The programme should be delivered by trained prisoner mentors 1-2-1 on wings, in Industries, or in education areas on an outreach basis, assisting those prisoners already identified as needing this support the chance to gain these skills. Providing informal learning support at entry-level, the offer needs to supplement our formal education provision, establishing a pathway into classroom-based learning and contributing to the broader educational strategy within the prison.
