Overview
Officers are now targeting further Regulation 18 consultation in October 2024. The consultation will take the form of a 'preferred options' paper setting out the Council's preferred thinking on a range of policy topics including the quantum and distribution of future growth in the period up to 2041.
The consultation feedback received will then help to inform the development of the pre-submission draft Regulation 19 version of the plan in spring 2025.
In accordance with national policy, a key function of the new Local Plan will be to support the role of West Oxfordshire's Town Centres by taking a positive approach towards their growth, management and adaptation.
There are a number of ways this can be done and to inform its preferred approach, the Council is seeking to commission a new Town Centre Strategy and Needs Assessment
