Overview
This is a notice of award for Family Group Decision Making Best Practice Guides.
The services relate to the Department's aim to procure the development of a package of best practice guidance for local authorities (LAs) to implement their new legal duty to offer family group decision making (FGDM) to all parents (or those with parental responsibility) of children whose cases have reached the pre-proceedings stage, unless the offer is not in the child's best interest. Although this is being primarily produced to offer guidance to support LAs in relation to the new duty at the time it comes into force, it will also offer general best practice guidance on FGDM that is applicable to meetings that happen at other points in the children's social care system (e.g. at earlier points in the system, such as during family help, or later, such as reunification).
