Overview
The Council is seeking to appoint one Supplier to supply and deliver a range of sizes of Aluminium Poles for Traffic Signal Installations Poles must be available in the following sizes: • 2.2 Metres • 4.0 Metres • 6.0 Metres Poles must meet the following specification as a minimum: Anodised Aluminium Non-Removable underground protection for poles that is sufficient to protect against corrosion such as a polymer dipped coating. Please note that we cannot accept potentially removable protection such as tape. The terminal board within the pole must be made of a suitable material to ensure that it has a lifespan to match that of the pole itself. The poles should be finished in a Black Aluminium colour. This should be both the above ground and below ground parts of the poles. The poles should come complete with a removable anodised aluminium vented pole cap that fits inside the pole top. The vented pole cap should be finished to blend in with the pole, as per the specification provided. Predrilled holes for fixings on four sides. Please see the drawings for details of the location of the holes. Predrilled holes to be fitted with a suitable black weatherproof plastic grommet that can be removed when the poles are being sited, in accordance with the specification. All Poles supplied must be CE marked No stickers or labels on the outside of the pole doors or pole exterior. Must meet the criteria specified in the drawings Earth lead to the door be approx. 600mm long fitted to a bolt inside the pole. All poles to be individually wrapped to stop them from being scratched to the depot and then onwards to the site. All pole doors to locked by a standard triangular bolt. All poles must have passed a wind loading test for the required loads. Triangular bolts to have O ring or Cir clip to enable them to be fixed to the pole door.
