Wigan Combined Fire Station Refurbishment - Carbon Works

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority awarded Parr Facilities Management Limited a contract valued at £249,594 to replace the gas-fired domestic hot water system at Wigan Community Fire and Ambulance Station with an electric Air Source Heat Pump solution and integrate it with the building management system. The carbon reduction scheme is expected to reduce annual emissions by approximately 12.5 tonnes, with works coordinated to minimize disruption to fire station operations, and the contractor will manage design and construction stages under a JCT Minor Works with Contractor's Design form.
