Overview

North Hertfordshire District Council has awarded a public sector decarbonisation project to Briggs & Forrester Special Projects Limited for £1,519,891.90. The works, funded partly by the Salix Public Sector Decarbonisation Grant Scheme, comprise energy efficiency improvements across two sites: Hitchin Town Hall and North Herts Museum (secondary glazing, roof insulation, PV panels, air source heat pump replacement, HVAC equipment upgrades, and chiller replacement) and North Herts Leisure Centre (air source heat pump replacement for the Learner Pool with screening enclosure). The project is being delivered under two separate JCT Design & Build contracts to support the Council's Net Zero operations commitment by 2030.
