RPAS Testing Service Providers Framework

The Civil Aviation Authority has established a framework agreement for remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) testing service providers to conduct product evaluations of drones for compliance with UK and EU regulations covering safety, electromagnetic compatibility, radio equipment, and machinery directives. Eight suppliers were awarded to the framework on 12 February 2026: ALTER TECHNOLOGY TÜV NORD SAU, DEKRA GmbH, LGAI TECHNOLOGICAL CENTRE, MADRONES LTD, SATELLITE APPLICATIONS CATAPULT LTD, SPYRIAN ENGINEERING LTD, TUV RHEINLAND UK LTD, and VANTAGE UAV LTD. The framework enables the Authority to issue specific requirements for product evaluations and select providers through call-offs based on their statements of work and capability to perform evaluations including performance testing, noise analysis, cyber security assessment, and other health and safety concerns.
