CityFibre Limited was awarded a contract valued at £51.4 million to deliver gigabit-capable broadband infrastructure under the Gigabit Infrastructure Subsidy Programme in the Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, and Milton Keynes intervention area. The programme aims to subsidize the build of gigabit-capable networks in areas unlikely to attract commercial investment, providing wholesale gigabit broadband services to underserved regions across the UK. The contract forms part of a longer-term initiative expected to run for up to nine years with awards issued throughout that period.
