The Canyons MCZ DY200 eQA drop camera analysis

JNCC commissioned APEM LIMITED to conduct external quality assurance analysis of seabed imagery collected during the September 2025 DY200 survey at The Canyons MCZ, including 5 hours of drop camera video, 300 still images, and 100 AUV images. The work, completed in January 2026 for £16,500, involved annotating imagery in BIIGLE, segmenting video by habitat type using Marine Habitat Classification standards, assigning image quality scores, identifying anthropogenic impacts, and producing a final analysis report of up to 10,000 words with methodology, results, and quality assurance details.
