Overview

Birmingham City Council has awarded contracts to thirteen organisations to deliver mentoring interventions as part of the SAFE Birmingham Taskforce Track 2 programme, a schools-led response to serious youth violence in mainstream secondary schools. The consortium will provide mentoring services to 36 secondary schools with a minimum of 620 referrals, delivering at least six months of weekly term-time mentoring per referral alongside complementary afterschool and holiday activities, with expected outcomes including improved behaviour, socio-emotional wellbeing, and school attendance among participating young people.
