West Northamptonshire Council has awarded a contract to MANGAR INTERNATIONAL LIMITED for £36,995 to supply a falls assessment app and decision-making tool along with a falls lifting kit for use in community and residential care settings. The iStumble app provides clinically validated post-fall assessment and decision support aligned with NHS protocols, while the lifting equipment supports safe patient handling and aims to reduce unnecessary ambulance callouts. The procurement follows a pilot project that demonstrated significant benefits, including an estimated £140,000 in ambulance cost avoidance and over 1,196 hours of time savings in the first year.
