Living Ash Project: Second Archive Site Planting

Published
Published 23 April 2025

Overview

This Contract is to facilitate Phase 3 of the Living Ash Project (LAP). The Contractor will plant available tree selections that have been grafted in a previous iteration of the project at the second archive site. The aim of the project is to ensure the second archive site is stocked with semi resistant ash trees to act as a genetic resource. This work is invaluable for future studies into Ash Dieback Resistance and was recommended in the conclusion of the LAP Phase 2 report. The work under this Contract covers the planting of the trees and the associated costs only. It does not cover ongoing maintenance of the site.
