Overview
The procurement of the operation of Registered Local Bus services in the local authority areas of Tyne and Wear with effect from 20 July 2025. Contracts will be let and operate between 20July 2025 to 18 July 2026 with the option to extend for a period of one year. Services provided will operate to specified timetables.
The vehicles required will be low floor, easy access, meeting a minimum of Euro 5 or Euro 6 engine emission standards, depending on the service tendered, and meeting the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 with a minimum capacity specified in the procurement documents. All additional information, service and suitability requirements were set out within the procurement documentation.
