Homes for Net Zero Phase 3 (HfNZ P3)

The Department for Energy Security & Net Zero is procuring contractors to deliver Phase 3 of the Homes for Net Zero research programme, a continuation of a large-scale trial involving approximately 1,250 owner-occupied homes. The work is divided into four competitive lots covering trial management and coordination, data analysis and research, consumer engagement and social research, and design and installation of low carbon heating measures, with a focus on evaluating heat pump performance, alternative heating solutions, and climate resilience in practical, scalable decarbonisation pathways for owner-occupied homes. Outputs will include annual reports, research publications, datasets, and thematic briefs to inform government policy on clean heat and energy efficiency.
