The University of Málaga procured the supply, installation, testing, validation, and commissioning of a 5G-NTN emulation infrastructure (6G Expanse Testbed Extension) across four lots, including an NTN channel emulator, 5G-NTN network emulation segment, user emulator with complete In-A-Box 5G-NTN system, and space prototype emulation and development equipment, funded under the EU's Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The award was granted to Distron SL for 206,095 EUR on 31 October 2025 and is now complete.
