La MCT, para la prestación del servicio esencial de abastecimiento de agua potable que tiene encomendado,
dispone de un extenso sistema hidráulico (captación, tratamiento, conducción, bombeo y almacenamiento en depósitos
de reserva) con numerosas instalaciones, repartidas por las provincias de Murcia, Alicante y Albacete.
La mayoría de estas instalaciones cuentan con sistemas de recloración mediante Hipoclorito de sodio. Estas
instalaciones garantizan un adecuado abastecimiento de agua para consumo humano a una población potencial de más
de 3 millones de personas.
