Das Grundstuck der Grundschule Gerberstrase befindet sich in der Gerberstrase 18, 42653 Solingen-Gräfrath am östlichen Rande des historischen Ortskerns.
Es werden Rohbauarbeiten an drei Bestandsgebäuden nach vorher abgeschlossener Schadstoffsanierung sowie Errichtung einer Erweiterung erfolgen. Der Brutto-Rauminhalt der Erweiterung beträgt dabei ca. 4.050 m³. Die Schulgebäude sind komplett leergezogen. Lediglich die Turnhalle bleibt während der Baumaßnahme in Betrieb.
