CBI is implementing a project in Bangladesh’s small leather goods and bags sector to contribute to the achievement of the following long-term vision: The Bangladeshi small leather goods and bags manufacturing and export sector is capable of meeting social compliance standards, thereby providing decent jobs for its workers. The project ambition is that: The ecosystem around the small leather goods and bags manufacturing and export industry in Bangladesh supports companies in seizing the EU market opportunities through social compliance. SMEs that embrace these opportunities provide jobs that are more decent to their workers, which includes gender inclusiveness and improved worker representation.
