Overview
Das Digitale Stellwerk (DSTW) Harz-Weser-Netz ist eines von vier Vorserienprojekten, das im Rahmen des Programms Digitale Leit- und Sicherungstechnik (DLST) digitale Stellwerkskomponenten und standardisierte Schnittstellen realisiert und erprobt. Das Vorserienprojekt Harz-Weser-Netz besteht aus zwei Abschnitten: Braunschweig-Süd und Südharz.
Im Rahmen des Projektes werden zahlreiche mechanische Stellwerke durch ESTW´s ersetzt. Auch zahlreiche Bahnübergänge werden erneuert, welche teilweise stellwerksabhängig sind und demnach zum gleichen Zeitpunkt in den Betrieb gehen müssen.
