Umbau und Sanierung der Nikolaikirche Anklam zur Integration des Lilienthal Flight Museum (LFM)

The City of Anklam awarded the renovation and conversion of the protected Nikolaikirche Anklam to Zimmerermeister Karsten Jantzen GmbH for €911,590 (completion awarded May 2026). The project involves comprehensive restoration of the heritage church building, conversion to the Lilienthal Flight Museum, reconstruction of the tower to its original height of approximately 103 metres, and careful conservation treatment addressing salt damage, moisture, and deterioration from wartime destruction and prolonged ruination, whilst preserving historical surface finishes, figural paintings, and polychrome coatings throughout the interior.
