Landratsamt Kulmbach has awarded structural engineering planning services (phases 1–6 per HOAI) to R&P Ruffert Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH for the expansion and top-floor extension of the C-building (cafeteria) at Markgraf-Georg-Friedrich-Gymnasium Kulmbach, a heritage-listed building in a protected old town. The project, valued at approximately €4.3 million gross, involves extending the existing 2007 building across its full width and adding an additional storey with new toilet facilities, designed to minimize disruption to ongoing school operations. Services are being contracted in phases, with phases 1–3 procured initially and phases 4–6 to be called off as needed, with construction scheduled to begin in September 2027 and complete by March 2029.
