Framework agreement to support the Cities Finance Facility: Capacity Development for the financial feasibility of urban climate infrastructure projects in energy, mobility and waste sectors_Lot 1

GIZ has awarded a framework agreement to support the Cities Finance Facility, a programme providing capacity development and technical assistance to cities in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to prepare climate infrastructure projects in energy, mobility, and waste sectors for financing. The framework, awarded on 2 December 2025 to GFA Consulting Group GmbH, GOPA International Energy Consultants GmbH, and INTEGRATION Environment & Energy GmbH, runs through December 2027 with a budget of approximately EUR 20 million and encompasses four key outputs: strengthening urban development planning, developing finance-ready infrastructure projects to international standards, building city capacity for project financing, and improving enabling frameworks at national and subnational levels.
