F124 5. Nutzungsrelease Führungs- und Waffeneinsatzsystem (5. NR FüWES)

The German Federal Armed Forces' procurement office has awarded a contract to Thales Deutschland GmbH for the 5th Usage Release of the command and weapons employment system (FüWES) for F124 frigates. The scope includes integrating various subsystems such as Rolling Airframe Missile Block 2B and Atlas Data Link System (ADLiS), addressing obsolescence issues, and fixing defects to maintain operational readiness of the F124 class and associated shore facilities through their service life, with additional subsystem integrations to be commissioned later via individual call-offs.
