The Road Infrastructure Agency has awarded a contract for updating and supplementing a technical project and performing repair and restoration works on the Trayan's Gate tunnel (TENT-T corridor) on the Thrace motorway at km 53+297 to bring it into compliant operational condition. The tunnel, operational since 1985, requires extensive remediation including stabilization of structural defects such as transverse cracks, moisture damage, and uneven pavement, along with engineering supervision during construction. The estimated value is approximately 79 million BGN, with the award made on 2 July 2026.
