Overview
Im Zuge des 740 m-Netz-Programms soll im Bf Schwelm Hbf ein Überholgleis für 740 m lange Güterzüge geschaffen werden. Das Gleis 405 im Bahnhof Schwelm hat bereits eine ausreichende Nutzlänge für 740 m-Züge. Um die Möglichkeit zu schaffen, einen in Gleis 405 stehenden Zug im Bahnhof Schwelm durch das Gleis 404 in Richtung Wuppertal-Langerfeld zu überholen, muss daher eine zusätzliche Weichenverbindung von der Strecke 2550 in die Strecke 2701 hergestellt werden. Gemäß Entwurfsplanung sollten hierfür keine Signale versetzt werden.
