Der Regionalverband FrankfurtRheinMain plant im Rahmen seiner Mobilitätsstrategie den Bau des Radschnellwegs FRM7 (Abschnitt H.2) zwischen Frankfurt und Hanau. Der 2,14 km lange Abschnitt verläuft teils durch die Kinzigauen und erfordert u.a. eine neue Brücke über die Kinzig. Grundlage ist eine Machbarkeitsstudie von 2019, deren Ergebnisse berücksichtigt, aber bei Bedarf angepasst werden können. Ziel ist eine abschnittsweise Realisierung entlang der Vorzugstrasse.
