Die Herzenbergschule soll um folgende Räumlichkeiten erweitert werden:
- Mensa (ca. 137 m²)
- Ausgabeküche inkl. Personalräume (ca. 40 m²)
- Stuhllager (ca. 10 m²)
- Toiletten (ca. 10 m²)
Der Neubau wird als ein- oder zweigeschossiger Anbau auf der Nordseite des Schultrakts realisiert. Aufgrund des Höhenunterschieds zwischen dem Bestandsgebäude (Fußboden liegt ein halbes Geschoss über Pausenhofniveau) und dem Neubau ist ein Verbindungsbau erforderlich, der eine rollstuhlgerechte Erschließung gewährleistet.
